Maybe you have to allow the pictures to be viewed by the general public.

OK, it's a nice car from 50 feet... if you want to sell seriously, you are going to have to take close up pics one fender at a time from different angles. engine shots, interior close ups, dash board, windshield, back window, trunk inside and out, carpets, seat backs, everything. even underbody and low shots showing the sidecladding!

That's called shill bidding and is illegal. If you want to control what it sells for use a reserve.

I'd drive across the country to get a better look at a car that looks that good in a picture from 30 feet, if I was in the market for this class of car.

Shill bidding is not "illegal," it is a way of life on fleabay.

Using a Reserve does nothing to "control" anything. Using the Reserve is for the insecure anyway.

ahh, so you are close to me.
if ONLY I was in the market for another SD... that one looks nice so far.
if you can get some close ups like I said, and additional shots, give us the mileage you have showing, I'm pretty confident it'll sell right here.
I am a horrible person to give prices on the cars.
I have 4 SD's one was free, pristine rust free 200K vehicle
1 was 350.00 175K vehicle with a bad paint job, but otherwise PRISTINE
one was 1150 with a rear ended rust covered, bad transmission, but perfect glass, and seats with a strong engine. (I was new at the MB stuff, and I overpaid)
1 was 1000.00, great paint, nice interior, strong engine weak trans needed a B2 and a filter.
your car should be WORTH 3-6K depending on actual condition and desire of the buyer.
if it's low miles (under 200K) if EVERYTHING works, A/C, Windows, sunroof, all vents, radio, etc. 4K and up!
if it's over 225K miles, and anything in the car does not work, GET THEM FIXED first, then try to sell. if things are out, it leaves a buyer with a bad taste, and a weapon to chip down the asking price. should bring 1500-2500

looks like a great color, it should sell well.

GET MORE PICS here, and post the mileage!
lemme know if you need help fixing any issues before it sells! (I'm close, I have a customer in camden that needs me to work on a few of her cars)

From the pics that looks like a great car. The odometer numbers all line up...the upholstery on the seats looks great as does the dash. The dash looks crack free.

As was previously said, close up pics of everything, seats, door panels, dash top, outside sides, front and back.

I paid $4k 2 years ago and had to clean each window motor in order to get them to work without straining, the grease was hardened all I had to do was clean out the old and put in the new grease and they all worked great.

If I were closer I would grab it but I am in WA.

Good luck.

While shill bidding may be rampant on eBay, it is in fact illegal in every state.
"...there are no states where shill bidding is allowed. It's a federal felony offense. If it occurs in an online auction, then it's considered wire fraud and is punishable by up to 5 yrs in prison plus significant fines/restitution. Additionally, every state has laws against fraud, and shill bidding constitutes fraud.
