Back in Spain with the family. Strangely enough, I really do not see as many W123s and W124s as in my childhood. Diesel here is 1.20 euros a liter, so go figure... about $6 a gallon. Still want to keep Newport for many years and go Panamerican with it alla Jurgen (username blurg)!

Still remember that flying socket fondly. Did you ever find it?

SOLD!!

To ME!!

Had an un-eventfull trip home. Car runs pretty good, she's down on power though.

and of course the odometer stopped working somewhere in RI. . .

New Years day I went to a TDI club GTG where there were a few Mercedes diesel guys. . .I now have a list of parts to buy.

But she fits my 6 foot ladder just fine! off to work tomorrow!

never having owned a 603, i thought the power was similar to the good-running 617's i've had, which was pretty good...bummer about the speedo. nice meeting you and hope the car works well for you!

I need to make another trip down there to see you. Next time I'll bring my 87' sedan. . show you why the 603 in considered a "rocket"

maybe when you decide to part out that other wagon. . .I'll grab the front seats. . or maybe the WHOLE interior

Brian

An 87 foot sedan? Sounds as long as a rocket, ...

Congrats on the entry to the '87 TD club, it's a good place to be! I love to haul things in the wagon, my little SUV.
