I doubt it. The person has 0 feedback and I stated in the auction that bidders with zero feedback must contact me first before bidding. I had this happen 3 times when I was selling my 1979 300SD and finally had to do away with the buy-it-now.

set the auction up so that the buyer must have a paypal account in order to bid. not a total fail-safe but it eliminates a good percent of gomers from ruining your auction. you can exclude many different kinds of "buyers" based on criteria. let me know if you need any help with setting it up

Okay, I'll try that. The buyer has not replied to my messages and if I don't hear from him tonight the car will be relisted. Maybe with some pictures of the new brakes showing that the parts are new.

Up for sale again due to a scammer clicking the buy-it-now. I have relisted the car and only offered it for sale to bidders in the USA and with a PayPal account (unless they contact me first and I agree). Hopefully this will help me weed out the scammers. The bidding starts at $1,000 or buy-it-now for $1,800 and drive it home.

Hey tell me about it - you must have nearly spent your asking price in spares.

To be honest I want to buy it - but then I also want to stay married.

Tough choice:-

Wife / car / wife / car / wife / car

- sorry it has to be wife.

(Probably not what a real man would say:-
Words that "REAL MEN" wont say.

I would love to have this car at my door for about $1500, but shipping is high from the West coast (approx $800).

Good luck with sale.

Everyone, everyone, updates, updates! I have added more pictures and a video clip of the car. I am repairing the blower motor and plan on filming some more video clips soon. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290497059372

How bad is the rust on the rockers and in the trunk. Is she rotted out to the point where you could stick a screwdriver through it?

I am reasonably close to you - I live 50 minutes drive north of Kelowna, BC.
