I have a 1958 Ponton 220S for sale. I purchased it since I believed it was restorable and I still believe it is restorable. I don't have the space for it and my interest have drifted in a different direction.
Here is the link to the slideshow on all the pics I have of the Ponton. Here is the link for this un-named Ponton. Included with the Ponton is the 1967 250SE engine and transmission that I had planned on dropping in it. The engine was pulled from a running 90K+ mile rustbucket previously owned by a 85 year old woman. Yes, I will split them up if I sell the Ponton first. Delivery is possible. I have 2 trips planned this summer. One to Allentown, PA. The second trip to the Detroit, MI area. In addition, anywhere within 4 hours of Memphis, TN is doable. I would like to recapture the investment I've made into these pieces of MB history. I also have a complete Kuhlemeister AC unit. In addition, I have some 14 inch steel hubcap friendly wheels to throw into the mix. Asking $1300 for all and you come get it. Make an offer. I don't want to have to scrap this stuff. This is from the ponton thread that I posted last year: I have the hood --- it rode home safely in the back of my truck. And ....believe it or not, I stopped down the street after I got a smoothie at M's and put air in the tires! The tires have inner tubes in them; one tire got a bubble on the sidewall and blew out; the others held air. I wish I'd pumped up the tires before trying to load the car --- next time I will know. All the leaves blew out of the hood area on the way home and I got the car covered with a brand new tarp to protect the headliner and interior recovered seats from the bad door seals. The only "bad rust" on the car is at the trunk lid edge and the matching surface on the car. Here are some updated pics. http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8126.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8127.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8128.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8129.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8130.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/DSCF8131.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...p/DSCF8107.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...p/DSCF8113.jpg http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...p/DSCF8112.jpg |

Trailer sold and will be delivering to Allentown
I sold the red trailer in this pic:
http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/DSCF9069.jpg and will be dragging it toward Allentown, PA. Since I'm pulling the trailer, I could easily have the 1958 Ponton loaded on it for someone. In addition, it will make it super easy for me to haul the 200D engine and transmission that I have just laying around. |
*frown*
The front windshield appears to have received a rock; the glass still intact to protect the inside from the elements.
