Well there's a nice car for the price of the repairs done to it (and probably then some)...

Good luck with the sale - wish I was closer

Have you done a leak down test? What's up with cal 3 (390 psi) or is that Ok with a diesel?
I'm know more of gassers and more than 5-10% deviance is getting out of spec...but then again, with those miles, probably not bad

#3 was the first I tried to measure and ended up being the last one done since I was having trouble. The engine had cooled a bit by time I got it right. It was also right after my first valve adjustment.

The FSM says normal is 24-30 bar, min 15 and max difference of 3. Converted to PSI that's 348-435, min 217, difference of 43. My numbers in bar are 26.9-30.3 with a delta of 3.4.

Assuming the cheapy HF gauge is in the ballpark but not dead-on balls accurate (that's a technical term) and that my technique wasn't the best when I took the readings, I consider the numbers very good since they're all on the high end of the normal range.
