Hi,I have decided to sell my W124 300TDT or maybe trade it for a Volvo wagon or Saab convertible.I bought this car a few months ago thinking I wanted a Diesel car.The car was in the big hail storm in Dallas a few months ago and was parked outside and the PO was not insured for this.It still has a clean title(in my name) but has now 2 different colors (fenders and hood are replaced) and still some hail dents.It always has been a Tx car so there is no rust,it has 197Kmiles and comes with an extensive history from the first owner whom had it for 5 years and then it was the property from the lady I bought it from and her dad for the last 20 years.What still needs to be done is replace the front windshield and paint the car,it also has a small oil leak on the transmission.Original sticker price in 1987 was 48000$!!!!!!.It has 4 brand new tyres and I have bought a second 300D as parts cars that I have dismantled the engine(bad) tranny,wheels and tyres,all switches relays and a lot off other stuff are still there.

I am driving it daily now and figured out that this is not for me,so if anybody likes to trade or is interested in buying it let me know

Asking price for the car plus all the parts from the other car is 2500$,this is way less then what I have invested in it so please no lowballers.

The head is the original nr 14 wich is still doing a perfect job,I did not take pictures of the roof but will try to do that later on.The roof has hail damage but sunroof is still working perfect so there is nothing there that can,t be fixxed with some bondo

Thank you for the extra pics! I am interested but methinks I have one too many already. You wouldn't be in interested in a 1986 300SDL for trade would you? Mechanically sound with rebuilt tranny. 217k miles on the odo. Front seats are worn. If you are interested, pm me and I will give you the lowdown and pics.

Any reason not to trust this car for a road trip home after purchase?

Is the windshield a danger to drive, until a replacement is available?

Do you have more to share about recent maintenance history?
And anything recommended in the near future: fluid flushes, suspension or steering parts, brakes?

Do all the features work correctly? Windows, AC, seats, etc

Rear windows do not work,you can hear a clicking but they do not move.PO did not have any kids so they havent been opened in the last 15 years I guess.AC is freezing cold,heater works,seats work fine besides the headrests,central locking does not work but I consider this a pro instead of a con(dont like to drive trough the bad parts of town with all the doors unlocked )
