Hello, I am selling a 1979 300SD automatic with approximately 180K miles. Located in Phoenix, AZ. The 5 cylinder turbo charged diesel sounds great - starts and with no problems. Passes emissions every time. Second owner, original owner had shipped from Germany, badge on grill denotes origination. Great running car, bought originally with the intent of converting to biodiesel, just never got around to restoring it. Would be worth the effort. Here's everything I can think of, email me and I can answer any other questions or send pics of anything specific.

The good:
Just had the car at our local MB mechanic last week in anticipation of selling and everything checked out fine.
Suspension looked good, transmission shifts smooth, exhaust is fine.
Interior is in good shape for its age. No rips or tears in the MBTex. Liner is perfect.
All gauges, lights, power locks and windows work. Window switches just replaced.
AC fully refurbished in 2007, but probably needs a recharge.
Tires at probably 95%

The bad:
Rear seat cushion need to be restuffed
My mechanic let me know the brake pads were ready to be changed.
AC servo on this car is notoriously problematic, so AC works but doesn't switch over to heat.
Front rear window seals should be replaced.
ODO has never worked since I purchased in 2007. Reads 168K, I've probably put another 10K total since owning it.

The ugly:
The clear coat on the paint has started to peal.
Crack in front dash from sun.
