1987 300D in excelent shape with records low miles $4500
Looking to sell my 87 300D. My father in law went to the factory and purchased this car for Grannie. When she couldn't drive any more she gave the car to us. I have had the car for about 8 years and have only put about 8,000 miles on it. I have all of the records for the car. All scheduled maintenance was completed by the Mercedes shop in Salt Lake City. I have all of the items that were in the car when purchased new, like the hang tags, the first aid kit, the spare key in the plastic sleeve. The car has always been stored in doors and since it was Grannies car it was rarely driven in bad weather. My father in law lived in TX so they would drive there once a year to visit, so that is where most of the miles are from. The grand parents were light weight, so seats are in great shape.
After I got the car I swapped out the air pump. The old one was still in great shape, but I heard horror stories about them going bad so I replaced it. I also replaced a lot of the plastic and rubber hoses under the hood. The issues that I know the car has. Some of the air controls are not functioning. It will still go from defrost to side/floor air but not the center vents. From what I have read the diaphragm crack. It was converted by the MB dealer to Freeze Zero freeon. It does have a slow leek. I put one 8OZ can in every other year. The headrests don't function as should. Also read that this is common problem and is easy fix. I can't remember exactly but you have to push or pull to get it to move one way. The motors and switches work. The small switch on the steering wheel that moves it in and out only moves it one way. The preset on the door moves the wheel the other way. It is a problem with the little switch. The mirrors on the visors need to be re-glued. The warning light for the lights recently came on. Manual says it is bad bulb. Have not looked into it. Most of the items are very small. Since I only drive the car about once a month I never had the interested in looking into them. It has always started and run as it should. Very good runner. Millage is around 116,000 I do have the plastic pieces that cover the bottom of the engine. I had them off because I had the center link replaced and have heard stories of shops breaking them or not putting them back on. The reason I am selling is because my wife will not allow me to park a car in the drive and she wants a new car and so need to make room in garage. Also comes with studded tires on rims and a extra set of rims. The rims are not for this exact model but work with out issues. I am going to try and add some detailed pictures. Here is a link to some photos. Please note the date. Some pictures are a couple years old, but since the car was not driven much it is in shame condition. There are a lot of current photos. Car is located in Omaha Ne. clear title in my name and non-smoker car. https://plus.google.com/u/0/111778780208747235506/posts/bNeqV2uQ4U3?partnerid=gplp0

You're missing the price...
You should add your price to make the ad complete. YOu say the car hasn't been driven in the bad weather yet you have studded snow tires for it...

That is correct. I did not need the car and got it as more of a hobby only drove it to keep the fluids moving. As they say, a Sunday driver. I am not trying to sugar coat anything, just look at the pictures.
