It's come time for me to part ways with my Mercedes. I've had the car since Sept. 2009 and it was my daily driver until last June when I bought another vehicle. I can't justify the repair costs (shop only), so, it's for sale. I currently drive it about once a week, weather depending (~20 mile commute). Here's a list of some of the larger repairs that I've had addressed over the years:
New lock cylinder.
Replace delivery valve seals.
Replace differential bushing / associated subframe bushing.
Replace glowplug relay / glow plugs.
Replace timing chain & tensioner.
Replace vacuum pump.
Replace radiator.
Replace fuel heater valve.
Replace front / rear struts, bellows, mounts.
Replace blower motor / regulator.
Replace combination switch.
Replace hood pad.
Replace driver door check strap and both straps in the rear.
Replace all soft brake lines.
Replace six injectors (Monark).

I have receipts for the above work, as well as other routine items (brake fluid flush / pads / rotors, transmission service, coolant changes, oil changes, power steering fluid changes, filter changes). My personal repair / maintenance receipts total $12665 and I have a few from the previous owner.

As mentioned above, I still drive the vehicle and do not have any reservations in doing so. The A/C was converted to R134a by a previous owner, and works decently. Fuel economy has been in the mid-to-upper 20's throughout my ownership (mixed driving). The steering is tight and the car drives and stops well. It is not a pristine vehicle, but a decent driver.

Here's a list of things that I know are wrong with the car:
Various paint blemishes and small dents in body panels. The clear coat isn't in the best of condition on the horizontal surfaces. I've taken some closeup pictures of some of these areas.
Rear windows do not work (suspect door wiring, both sides).
Antenna is inoperable.
Sunroof is inoperable (will open, needs manual help closing); does not leak.
The transmission shifts firmly when cold, mainly 1-2 and 2-3. The shifts are quick and do not flare.
Will need a new fan clutch if driving in 90F temperatures / stopped traffic (especially if the AC is on). No temperature issues while moving or in lower temperature.
Some rust near driver's side jack ports. See pictures.
Various cracked trim inside the vehicle.
Front seats worn.
Front windshield is a bit worn ("sand blasted").
Few small seeping oil leaks in the engine compartment. I suspect the intake crossover tube seals. Does not consume significant oil between oil changes (<1 qt.).
Ambient temperature sensor is inoperable (have a spare, but not installed).

It worked out to about $230 / month. It's the price of paying a shop to do the labor (probably ~40-50% of that cost).

If one were to do the work themselves, it would be quite a bit cheaper...but, for me, getting evicted from my apartment complex wasn't worth it.
