FS - 1995 Mercedes-Benz E300 Diesel - $2800 (Ann Arbor, Michigan)

1995 Mercedes-Benz E300 Diesel - $2800 (Ann Arbor, Michigan).

Emerald Green w/ cream interior. Special Edition (ASD, leather w/ heated seats, 6-disc CD changer, integrated car phone, alloy wheels).

187,800 miles. 2 owners. No rust. Oil changed every 3000-5000 miles (synthetic). A/C blows cold.

I have owned the car since October 2008 (it had 101,069 miles at the time). The original owner traded the car into Loeber Motors in Chicago. He was a "snowbird" spending the winters in Florida with the car.

Selling the car because I have a 1 year old child and we need more room.

Feel free to call or text: 734-395-9993

Thanks. I've owned several Mercedes diesels over the years and this one is my favorite. Unfortunately I'm heading toward an SUV or wagon because of the baby. Hoping someone will keep this car running for many more years.

I'm about to have one wagon too many in a couple weeks when my project hits the road. Interested in a spectacular W124 wagon?

Since I've owned the car (October 2008) the wiring harness has not been replaced. However for a car that is now 20 years old, I've not experienced any problems associated with that.

94Wagenmeister: I'd personally love a 300TE/E320 estate, but my wife wants something newer. Probably looking for a ML-class diesel or VW diesel wagon (Jetta or Golf).

In that case I vote for the Jetta TDI Sport Wagon. Very nice looking. But likely about the same amount of interior space as your 124 sedan.

I owned a 2013 TDI sport wagon for a year, biggest mistake ever. In for repairs multiple times, very cheaply made. Good engine hindered by poorly designed components surrounding it (intercooler fills with water in cold humid weather). Exhaust system that is incredibly over complex and expensive....less usable room inside than a W203 wagon....loud on the highway....weak useless HVAC...rock hard uncomfortable seats... I would not recommend buying one ever. I "upgraded" to a 2005 C240 wagon....its been great, zero repairs or problems in 1.5+ years of ownership, and its an unstoppable force in the winter...unlike the TDI, which was terrible in snow. Average mpg in the TDI was 35-37 city, 40-42hwy with a 6 speed manual trans.

Interesting. My VW ownership days ended with my 93 Eurovan. Some things about it were world-class, others shockingly over-engineered to the point they were ineffective, like the HVAC system and the way they routed it to the back. Calling Rube Goldberg!
(look it up kids)
