Up for sale is my 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL Turbo Diesel. It is finished in Pearl Grey Metallic with Medium Red leather interior. This car has 279k miles and features power windows, power seat, rare optional power reclining rear seat, power sun roof, cruise control, automatic climate control. This W126 is powered by the OM603 3.0L 6 cylinder turbo diesel which is well known for its reliability and longevity. All power options on this car work great. The only item not working is the power antenna, it is stuck in the up position. The AC has been converted to R134 and blows cold. It will not freeze you out like the R12 did but it still works none the less. The paint is faded on the hood and trunk which is very typical of these cars when they are 30+ years old. There are normal dings and scratches around the car but there is no rust. The interior is in excellent condition with the exception of dash cracks. The seats are in nearly perfect with no cracks or rips.

I owned this car for a few years about 12 years ago then sold it to a friend of mine. He owned it until a couple of years ago when I bought it back from him. Since then I have rebuilt the injectors with new Bosio nozzles, replaced the delivery valve seals, set the injection timing. Last year the ac compressor was replaced with a new Denso compressor because the pulley was rattling. The cruise control amp was rebuilt and the cruise works great. The previous owner had the head and turbo rebuilt. These W126 cars are excellent road cars and I have taken this car on many cross country trips without issue.

This is not a new car, it is 30 years old so I am sure there are always going to be things that need attention. If you are looking for a reliable, well sorted vehicle, this is the one for you. It comes with books and records, even has the original window sticker!
