1981 300D and 1982 DT for sale
I have too many cars!
I love these guys, but I'm out of garage space, and I am going to stick with my four wheel drive for the winter. The 1982 is my favorite. I've driven it daily since I bought it a year ago. The exterior is yellow and the interior is palomino. It has 140k miles, all functions work - power (vacuum) locks, power windows, sunroof, head bolt heater. The 1981 is white with blue interior. Its a nice looking car, which is why I bought it. When I got it home, I couldn't part with the yellow one. It has 122k miles, everything works, but I haven't driven it much ( I just got it a few months ago). They are both diesels. The 82 is a turbo. I respect the "diesel" club and will deal with anyone interested in either of these cars. I'll send pictures, provide all info, answer questions, whatever....asap, let me know. Thanks for your time and consideration. |

Ennis, Montana
I'm definitely interested, and I'm near Ennis, MT!!! How much for either one?
My 190D got creamed while parked, has new drivetrain, but . . . Can't get used to the Buick. Have mechanic who will buy other car in same price range, as he wants my buick for the kid who get license soon. Or trade my Buick???? Creampuff 3.1L Buick Regal Custom w/65Koriginal miles. Was garaged entire life and paint is near perfect. (Blue with Blue interior). Gets 27 MPG |

Good morning! Thank you for your interest in my cars. I am excited to think they could stay in Montana.
Sorry to hear about your 190D. Hopefully, we can put something together to replace her. I definitely can't trade. As my original post stated, I have too many cars I'm just looking to get out what I paid for the cars. I've only had the '81 for a few months, and the '82 for a year (and its in much better shape than when I bought it) so I would hope that that is realistic. Excuse my ramblings, but I'm going to tell you how and why I did this.....according to NADA, the 1982 has a value range of $3,775 (low retail) - $5,975 (average retail) - $7,675 (high retail - smoking something?) I was seeing 300Ds on Ebay for $2,500 - $3,000 - but, of course, not being able to test drive. I had concerns about flying somewhere to drive a 20 year old car, that I had zero knowledge or comfortable with back to Montana. Shipping a car here is also no treat, about $1,500. So when I ran across these cars I took it all into consideration. Maybe I gave too much for them, but I weighed many factors. $4,100 and $3,800 is what I paid and what I want for them. If its out of line, I'll be keeping at least one of them, which is ok. I do love them, the interior is perfect, good straight body, 27 mpg in town, diesel, and ok - stylish. Anyway, let me know your thoughts and thanks again for your interest. |

Thank you for responding so quickly to my inquiry. actually, there are two of us, each interested in the cars for sale. Could you please send the photos? We could ride share to Billings also, or maybe meet halfway (Bozeman). Glad you may be workable on the price.
Would have to wait at least a week. You can call me at 406-842-5377. Stay in touch. Vicki |

Contact Info
my email address is:
piccolov@3rivers.net Next weekend in Bozeman sounds good. I tried calling yesterday, but you may not get the message until Monday. Nandi bought a 300TD (wagon) last year and is sold on MBZ now. She is interested in your '82 Turbo. I'm interested in your '81. We may put together a package deal and get both of them, if that's OK with you. My budget is very tight, so I'll have to rely on what I can get out of the Buick plus selling my wreck. My mechanic says he'll buy the Buick for about what I paid for it. And one of the forum members may come from Seattle to get my 190D with the rebuilt drivetrain, within 30 days. I look forward to the pics. Does the '81 have head-bolt heater also? How's the paint on both cars? Has the '81 had any work done to it? What's its condition? STay in touch. Thanks, Vicki |

Interesting to see if the cars are still for sale after two and a half years...you might have better luck with the more recent postings.
