MUST SELL - 93 190E 2.6 w/ 16v tranny parts, 400e/sl500 brakes, more...

Alirght, made it final. I'll run this like an auction. Best Reasonable Offer as I see fit. Start the offers at $3000!!!

Basically, its a 1-owner 93 190E 2.6. Car has 175k miles. Car is always Dealer Maintained or by Rick at RC Imports in Rcokville, MD. Always using Mobil 1 0w-40 Changed every 3,750 miles.

Body:
-Pretty much a standard looking 93 190E.
-Car has a new front grille, inside painted black.
-Custom finished E430 Sport 5-hole 17x7.5 ET 37 wheels on 215/45/17.
-European Front Headlights w/ Clear Corners
-Smoke Hella Rear Tailights.
-20% Tint all around

Interior:
-Pretty clean car, especially for a 93 with 175k miles. Mainly all Highway miles. Car has Rubber Mats installed, and MB Tex Grey interior.
-Upgraded dash, removing Cassette storage and filled with Dash Pocket.
-Upgraded Stereo. Alpine CDA-9815, Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5 3-ways (Bi-amped) plus Boston Acoustics NX57 in the rear, and 2 JL Audio 6w0s in custom box replacing First Aid Kit. Running of 2 MTX Audio 4 Ch Amps. Everything is mounted under the rear deck, and all of the trunk is still accessible.

Suspension:
-500E Sways up front
-Evo II Sways Rear
-Eibach Sport springs

Brakes:
-93 400E Front Calipers, Rotors + Axxiss Ultimate Pads
-95 SL600 Rear Calipers, Rotors + Axxiss Ultimate Pads

Car has been prepared for use with a larger engine. I planned on using an m104, at least a 3.0 from a 300CE or 300SL (90-93.) and wired to standard KE5 (electro-mechanical Feul Injection system.)
Plan B would be to source an AMG C36 motor using an Electromotive TEC3 (people have claimed 320+ with this setup).

Nice thing is I already have the hard stuff to find. I have the 2.3-16V 5-Speed Getrag tranny (same one used on the 90-93 300SL) along with the front Driveshaft half, clutch pedal assembley, master and slave cylinders, pressure plate, clutch, and flywheel. Only thing needed is the Reverse/Neutral Switch so the cruise control functions properly (ie if in gear and cruise, the engine doesn't rev when clutch is pressed) and a 91+ manual shifter console.

NADA Book Value (Mileage taken in consideration + Zip of 19707):
Wholesale: $4350.
Fair Market: $5725.
Retail: $6850.

The values above are for completely stock and average condition models with 175k miles.

I'll be including pictures hopefully in the next 24 hours. All questions, please email @ patelc0916@aol.com. Car is located in Washington, DC or in Hockessin, DE.

Thanks.

I'm not currently in the market, but will verify that Rick and RC Imports is a top-notch shop. He's been my mechanic for nine years, he's honest, and good.

Good luck on the sale!

I could Ebay it or not, my choice...

You can call my add stupid, those that know me on this board (granted its been about 1 year+) that this car isn't "standard" and handles and brakes better then anything this side of AMG.

That said, I'll pick and choose who I wish to sell the car too, and knowing Limited Edition said $4000, I'll consider that. Car isn't going to be sold to someone who doesn't appretiate it. I'm not that desperate on selling it. I wish to sell it, because it will probably go to my brother in the first place who wouldn't respected or treat it the way it should. Car isn't a normal 190E, and doesn't get serviced or maintained like a normal 190E. It requires someone who knows these cars, and will understand the suspension, brake, transmission, and engine capapbilited of it.

I remember when I use to be active here, ignorance was squated immediately. If it seems to get out of hand, I'll have a mod easily correct it.

So that stated, Limited Edition has a $4k bid, anyone come in with $5k. Remember, I'm including the tranny and all the conversion parts, 94 E420 15" wheels (That don't clear rear SL600 brakes) 00+ E430 Sport Wheels, and maybe even a decent price on a 300CE parts car (like under $3k.)

Mike Skees sold his 3.2-24v 190E (91) for $14k if I'm not mistaken, but could be wrong. Dr. Fiad sold his monster 190E 3.6 AMG for an undisclosed price (I think about $24k, but someone correct me on my assumptions.)

That said, anyone at $5k?

Good response! And you'r completely right. Regardless of market value, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If Jim D. isn't willing to pay more than X amount, he's out of the running. God bless America!

frist of, he...

Second off, This isn't a fixed price only. There is such a thing as best offer, and there is something we call negotiations.

If you have a problem with the way I list this, its simple for you not to take part. If you haven't caught the drift, I'm hoping to get AT LEAST BOOK VALUE @ PRIVATE PARTY (since you like being disrespectful with your statements in capslock) and best offer above that. If I don't reach Private Party, I'll consider whoever has the best offer close to or below that.

So that said, don't worry I wouldn't sell it to you. So you don't have to worry about looking at this thread again. Once more, and I'll have a mod strike your responses out.

Charlie (Guy's name.)

Be Civil for Ashman's Sake

I've not resorted to it yet, because as you can see the sticky Ashman has posted, its a major PITA.

So once more, lets be civil.

BTW, you still haven't provided any basis for your your accusation that the seller's ad is in violation of any rule or regulation. I must therefore conclude that there are none as you allege.

Perhaps the appropriate thing for you to do, if you are indeed interested in purchasing this particular car, is to bid. Othewise, what's the point of further posts?

Nothing wrong with asking for bids. I did something similar for my car, people sent me PM's and I accepted the highest offer. Its a much better route then dealing with Ebay, quite a lot of dead-beats bidding on cars nowadays.

At least your pretty assured you have a serious offer and a MB enthusiast as the new owner.

Thanks 2phast

At least your still around. You picked up where I left off and your car has come along quite well.

Again, to all their own, and it seems someone here has a hard time leaving this thread alone.

Price

Jim, if you want a price, simply read the first post and you will find the PRICE, it states Trade in Value/Wholesale @ $4350. Private Party/Fair Market Value @ $5725. Clean/Retail @ $6850.

Like I stated thats an average 190E in Good Condition depreciated for 175k miles.

So Anything aboce $5725, and hopefully at least $6850. Considering the Tranny stuff itself another $1400 at least, I would say $8250 is a decent price and everything else a freebee.

So Like Mike said when he sold his car, Let people judge what its worth, and see, you might get the right buyer at a reasonable price where all you do is loose the labor and numerous hours of researching, but break even on parts and products.

So my "reasonable" is $8250, "bottom line" is $6850, and $5725 or above is "I'll consider".
