C36 Check engine light

I had autozone pull the code from the check engine light.

Their scanner said

"incorrect air injection flow"

P0411

Any ideas? I am going to have my friend with a mercedes scanner check it on friday.

Sounds like the Mass Air Sensor don't it? Is he running a K&N or another high-flow filter?

Hope its not the MAF or the engine harness.

OE air filter (Mann or something)

possilbe EGR port

Austin sounds like clogged egr port in cyl head/but first test the egr valve. When engine running vacuum test valve see if engine stubles and almost wants to die,if not,you have a clogged port where the egr pipe goes into intake manifold. I gather from what you said the code was.

Hey Guido,

Ill check out the EGR tonight.

I was trying to learn how to use the diagnostic directory microfiche. I was looking in group 54 for the 202 chassis, and I couldnt find anything. Do you have a video on how to use the Fiche? Maybe I could borrow it.

So much info, just hard to find if you dont know where you are looking

My friend has an AST mercedes scanner, he is going to check it tomorrow for me. So I will check the EGR before then.

I was inspecting the car, and the hose that attaches to the smog pump that goes between two of the exhaust ports on the exhaust manafolds came off.

I put the hose back on and reset the light. I will drive the car around and see if the light comes on tomorrow.

I think the EGR valve is ok. we shall see!
