My mufflers have had it and the entire exhaust system looks original. I figure that it's time to replace the whole works, but before I replace stock, does anyone know of any performance exhaust products for this model, including manifold (header?)? I checked the archives and all the suggested sites deal with newer years/models, so any new insight would be appreciated! While I'm at it, what about the intake manifold, as well?!

No doubt some of the tuners had that stuff at one time but a problem you will encounter is that they discontinue making parts and tuning older cars as newer models come out. In talking to several tuners myself, they didn't want to touch anything that wasn't new or 2nd. (W210 being new/W124 being 2nd, W202 new/W201 being 2nd and even some of them as "too old") Aside from tuners or a custom job from a speedshop machinist I don't know what to tell you. You can always try a Borla or Ansa generic muffler and see if that works but I'd bet it wont do much better than stock. Bottom line: unless you can get something from a tuner just stick with OEM.

Hope this helps...Lee

Thanks, Lee. Can I make a general request to Parts Shop and get quotes on all parts from the manifold back, or should I make a request for individual parts? BTW, the paint is looking great (carryover from the Detailing Forum)! I only needed to use polishing compound on the hood, and the Meguiar's swirl remover is working a miracle on the rest of the body! I just put-off a re-paint for at least 2 more years...

Just submit a request for the entire system and we'll get you a breakdown of the parts needed. Just be sure to submit year, chassis/engine #'s, VIN, etc.

Hope this helps...Lee
