In order to run 160 MPH a 6.3 is way over red line. A very strong modified 6.3 is capable of 140, this I know. Could it have gone faster? Sure, but the risks of jail here in Oregon are huge and this was on a legal track. That 140 mph is bouncing on the red line. Is it possible? In my opinion yes. The 6.3 redline was placed there to frighten off such attempts. I know they can run way over redline. The more it goes above 3600 rpms, the less torque hp available. This is the first I've heard of a stock 6.3 hitting such numbers. A local Portland, Oregon fellow, years ago, hit 150 and took a Polaroid as evidence. I suggest that you become a M100 Group member. We have races at almost every yearly meet. What is the serial number of your 6.3? Any RPM issues afterwards such as leaks in the power steering or air comp? Where are you located. There is a very strong motor in Australia, I'd say the best motor in the 6.3 world.

With that barn door front end, the car would meed about 800 hp to go that fast.

Are you sure you have the correct size tires on the car?
