That is sweet! Only wish I'd read the thread earlier, I only live 10 minutes from Donington! Any ideas when it's next out?

Cheers, Martin

Gear lever - most interesting......

Russle,

Thank you very much for posting the photos of the DTM type racer.

One detail stands out: the gear lever. Is there any way to find out what gearbox the car uses and details of the gear lever, change actuation, etc.?

The standard 2.3/2.5-16 gear change after a few years becomes marginally satisfactory. Am interested in alternates.........

Will greatly appreciate a reply.

Thanks & regards,
bobf.

A few years back I saw a racing video from inside an EVO II. Looked like the driver was slappin' a sequential shift gearbox

From the website (of the original owner I think - the very famous (in the UK race scene) Andy Rouse):

Tech Spec.

Engine
2.5 litre, four cylinder, Cosworth design, 370 bhp at 9000 Rpm, Bosche fuel injection

Transmission
Xtrac 6 speed gearbox, ZF final drive

Suspension
Lightweight components, Bilstein dampers, heavy duty springs,
18" wheels, Dunlop tyres, AP brakes

Fuel System
110 litre safety tank with dry-break quick fillers,
fuel consumption 7mpg.

Top Speed
160 mph

------

Lots more pics on the site: http://www.rousesport.co.uk/index.html
