it's a quicktime .mov. sorry its kinda big, (7.3 megs) but i'm not able to find the tools to turn this into a MPG just yet. amd if i put the sound quality down any lower it just wouldnt do the engine any justice. (original was 44khz 16bit stereo but i bumped it down to 11khz 8bit mono).

hope u guys like it, it was my 2nd breakstand, (i did the first one like 20 minutes before my 2nd try). i coulda made some more smoke but i saw a car coming from behind . it was a present for my friend's birthday hehe. i'm not going to try any more for a very very long time, i just dont like the look of my revs sitting at 5900rpm for such a long time and i know that had to of killed my new breaks/tires.

WOW

Dongo, VERY IMPRESSIVE! That 400E really jumped when you let off the brake. Anyone willing to do that to a 500E and post that?!?!?! Once again, great video, worth the short wait!

Great burnout...

I would like to politely ask you next time to find a better location. I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but... burnouts in dense suburban neighborhoods are not the coolest way to show off your car.

With the potential for kids playing, bikes, joggers, other traffic distractions, idiots backing out of driveways without looking.... not to mention pesky rubber marks in front of houses, you can create more problems than fun.

If this happened in my neighborhood, we'd be having a frank and hearty discussion. Thanks for listening.

Concur with both of the above. Stay out of my neighborhood (but if you do it again outside the 'burbs, post more pics!) 500E owners??? --Mitch

You wouldn't happen to have just a 44kHz 16bit sound file of that would you? It's not everyday you get to hear a Mercedes V-8 churning the tires!
Thanks

So, how do you do that?

Hey,

So how does one do that (safely) ?

I heard you keep on the brake and then give it gas until the wheels break their hold and give it more gas until you're smokin, then let off the brake and you'll shoot forward....

Is that the procedure? Need to get some pics myself...

Thanks.

Kick Ass Burnout

Dongo,

It was cool no matter what some people might like to say...
The tire smoke wasnt half as impressive as the 20 foot tire streaks. I didnt know that the 400E had that much power.... Maybe I'll trade the beloved and trusted 300.... Nah...

Remember Tires are expensive!
