Twin Turbo kit sale for C36, E320, C280 M104

I'm not sure how much it is worth. I am thinking $2000 for the turbo kit + $600 for the fuel management, A/F, egt, boost monitoring software for tuning and safety.

The following are the major items plus all water, oil lines, tubing etc.:
The turbos are T25 A/R .48. water and oil cooled.
Intercooler
Manual adjustable boost controller
Fuel management is mapped based on boost and rpm level via MF2 and two injectors into a C36 air intake manifold.
Zeitronix ZT-2 wideband controller and monitoring software (http://www.zeitronix.com/order/order.htm). This includes A/R, EGT, and boost sensors and monitoring software. LCD not included. Total cost $465.

I don't really want to sell them seperately because it won't work unless you have equivalent or better fuel management and tuning equipment. You would either need to tune it on a dyno or use another more expensive setup.

The fuel controller is around $300 + fuel injectors + air intake manifold + hosing is I think around $400-$500. + the tuning and monitoring software which is essential to 1. tuning the car and 2. not harming the engine is another $465 (it is next to impossible to "blow up" the engine as you may have heard because the factory computer will cut timing, fuel etc. but over time improper tuning can harm the engine and also the car will run horribly). Dyno tuning is preferable but with this you get accurate graphs through a laptop so you can tune it yourself for higher octane fuels, different altitude, colder weather, different boosts, rpms etc. You can precisely adjust the amount of fuel that goes into the intake based on the leaness of the exhaust (O2 sensor), the exhaust gas temperate which indicates that too much heat is being produced in the cylinder such as when running too much boost under heavy load (EGT sensor), and the boost level which is essential to correlate with the RPM curve.

I also bought .64 A/R T28BB turbos if someone would want those instead but that will add $500 to the price. They were never installed and they are quite a bit bigger so the firewall might have to be modified slightly. I believe that they will fit though.

I can also sell it installed and tuned with my 95 C36 engine or entire car if someone wants to go that route. $5K for the engine + turbo kit, $10K for the car tuned and ready to go.

Oh also the boost is set at 7psi by default at the wastegate on the T25 turbos and horsepower is 340. One thing to note is that the smaller turbos do not have any lag and full boost hits around 2500 rpms which is a plus on the C36 because normally aspirated it takes a while to get moving. 0-60 at 7psi is around 5.0-5.4 seconds. The large turbos are set at 9psi and I believe would be around 400hp.

What was the compression ratio lowered to and how was it achieved?

I never tried 9psi but 7.5psi was fine with enough fuel. With an A/F ratio of 11:1 to 12.3:1 I don't think 9psi would be a problem either. You can get 104 octane Sunoco to run higher. I'm not sure if the C36 has different pistons or not from the regular M104 but the crank and stroke are different and the pistons are good for turbo charging because they are forged, dished, and have oil coolers.

That setup sounds great (to drop into my 280C), unfortunately all my money is currently tied up. Good luck with the sale!!!

side note: Too bad MB didn't continue with the I-6 after the C36

Intercooler

I am wondering how to add an intercooler to the turbo kit, is that possible? I do not want the engine to be overheated.

The kit includes an intercooler which mounts behind the light in the front bumper.
