i was also looking for ate blue brake fluid.

i decided to use motul dot 4 racing fluid in my 300E. works great, and i think it has a higher boiling point. (not that expensive) if you need some, call tony downs at bekkers import (800) 624-5410 at ext 16. tell him andy iino sent you.

later,
andy

Eurasian is out there in Cali but I don't have their website url or 1-800 # handy. That's where I got my ATE super blue cheap.

I have never used the Motul product but really like the ATE which I run in my 500E and a street prepared SCCA Scirocco...great pedal feel, higher temp withstanding...much better than OEM fluid. I would think Motul should be on par since they've been sponsoring race cars for about 30 yrs. Where do you get it in the US?

super blue...

Jim & I just slapped in the blue in my 2.3-16 last week, with the help of Michael's pressure bleeder (Jim & Mike = 500E'ers. They suck!). Anyway, Jim's right on. Much improved pedal feel, and way more resistant to fade. Awesome, so worth the $8.50 or so. I saw it advertised here:

This place has both ATE and Motul. I've been using the Motul for the past 3 years with excellent results.

I get ATE Super Blue and ATE "Amber" under $13 from Randy at EPS Parts (http://www.epsparts.com)

Both have the same specs.

I'm interested in going to DOT 5.1 (not DOT 5- which is silicone). Anyone try that?

421-F/528-F wet/dry boiling-point

BTW- I alternative annually between Blue & Amber to know when I've totally flushed the system.
