This is me thinking on thread...

I am not trying to hi-jack the thread - But I am trying to POSSIBLY understand signals that are being sent through CAN BUS B and add in features to our w203 to fill up the switch row...

Any ideas?

No you are not hi-jacking a thread. Thats what this thread is all about. The CAN data frame, consist of the following bit pattern.

1 bit start of frame
12 bits Arbitration Field
6 bits Control Field
0-8 bytes (64 bits) of data
16 bits CRC field
2 bits ACK field
7 bits End of Frame

The will be minimum 3 bits between data frames. The last 4 bits of the control field tells you how long the data field is.

I believe if I can get that data string into Excel, I can crack the code for allot of things. Things like RPM or wheel speed should be easy. Things like torque will require a dyno.
