new clutch pics m104 c280
i just got my clutch back from our local clutch shop, had to upgrade to try and get some power down,
i got my standard pressure plate rebuilt with heavier springs which gives alot higher clamping pressure, they custom built me a full face full kevlar clutch disc, this is a solid disc, but with kevlar should give nice smooth engagement for street driving but also hold power, and they ground my light weight solid flywheel for me also, i had a weigh up also, my old standard setup with dual mass flywheel weighed about 25-27kg, and this is about 17kg here are the pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this is between the m104 2.8ltr and 717.4 manual 5 speed transmission |

and sorry oops2fast for the delayed response, the clutch feel is very close to stock feeling, and is still very easily street drivable, the only thing is it makes a slight wurl sound when engaging sometimes, not sure why |

yea the flywheel was custom made for me by good friend/engineer.
try and source a second hand clutch and flywheel from a wrecker, and its a good place to start, i had the flywheel built using my old flywheel for spec, and the clutch pressure plate i had rebuilt heavy duty, and the clutch disc changed aswell. but see if you can go for a sprung clutch center. talk to a performance clutch shop for ideas |

the whirring sound is likely from the finish on the flywheel.. It will likely dissipate with time.
Nice setup btw ![]() Jonathan
