What are some common ways that people afford to buy a Mercedes-Benz?
I have always dreamt of owning a stylish car, such as the SL, but the high maintenance and repair expenses often seem daunting. How do people who make less than $200,000 annually afford such vehicles?
While buying an older used car that has depreciated in value is a feasible option, the cost of owning an older car may be challenging. Is there a specific rule of thumb such as not owning a car beyond a certain mileage or is there any type of car repair insurance available to help with this cost? Do people typically need to have a high income to afford such cars? Thank you! MYBKExperience Last edited by davidadley; 11-28-2023 at 01:28 AM. |

Until COVID hit , venues such at COPART were a viable means to acquire a high-end car at a 1:4 price tag. Those days are long gone. A minimally damaged S600 V-12 powered AMG tuned car with very low miles would never top $30-ish which is more like 1:5. Now pricing is pushing 1:1 which is a lot for a car with a salvage title

3,11,25 purchasing theory
If you purchase a car 3 yrs old 50% of the depreciation has been lost. 11 yr old cars well maintained are relatively inexpensive with lots of remaining life. 25 yr old cars have hit bottom and should begin to increase in value.
