On my older mercs I was able to centrally lock all doors by locking the drivers door. On my E500 '94 locking the drivers door will only lock that door. Though when I lock the front passenger door from the inside with the key out of the ignition all the car locks. Is this normal? From the outside on the drivers door I only have an IR switch wereas on the passenger door there is a key hole.
I was told that I will have to install a center consol mounted switch, that I can operate whenever i need to lock/unlock the doors. Is this common with these cars? Thanks |
