i know eric im just trying to push u to go with it. btw my trick pushes timing beyond that of just pulling the r16.

I know that. I just wish I could have gotten Benzer 1 to cooperate with me when I tried the ETC mod at the track. Don't worry, I haven't given up though. I'm just trying to get the car to be consistent at this point before I start experimenting again. It's too hard to quantify improvements when the car's baseline isn't even consistent.

Is the car that much faster!!!! A full second is no joke over a 1/4mile! I wish my AMG could gain that much with this trick. it just doesn't. And if I push the timing more I get more power but usually blow my weak AMG hg. Next time this hg blows on me I am gonna be using A copper hg. Don't worry ur hg is alot stronger than mine.

My 93 400E's uncorrected 14.3 is a full second faster than the corrected 15.3 that Car & Driver got out of their 93 400E, which is the quickest E/T I've seen for a 93 400E in ANY magazine. My 400E's best corrected E/T is 14.03.

Jay, you do know that it's not so much the HG as it is the fact that your 3.6 was bored by AMG to within a millimeter of it's life compared to the stock 2.8/3.2 bore, right?

yup i know Eric that its the thin bore spacing due to the large pistons in the engine. they r so thin at the water passages that its scary.

Someone was talking about a adjustable fuel regulator for a M104.Found one on Ebay and it says it would fit.Would it be used to change AFR?But you still would need advanced timing right.
Also I see no decrease in fuel mileage with a 1.5 k resistor.
