6.0 AMG Engine Kit......
New member...my 92 500E has 227 K miles. I would like to know the following:
1) Does AMG sell complete 6 litre engines for the 500E? What is the cost? 2) Do they sell a kit (pistons etc)? Again cost? 3) Is there any reason a good U.S. engine rebuilder (eg. Ed Pink motors) can't rebore and rebuild this engine...I can't see it costing more than $10,000 for a grade A1 rebuild with new pistons, connecting rods etc. 4) Has anyone turboed this engine successfully? 5) Any one know of a good engine/transmission rebuilder in the L.A. area? Thanks
