Is it possable.

Hello. I have a question for you guys. I drive a 2003 CL 55 AMG and yesterday took it to the car wash, every thing ran fine. after the wash the car i beleive is running in limp mode, also the check engine light came on. Question is can a check coolant message be involved in what has happen. or is their something else im over looking.

Thank you for your responce. still have the problem. Brought a code reader and it states Code: PO748 Pressure Control Solenoid A. Is this what is giving me the Check Engine light And putting the car in Limp Mode or are they even related. filled the coolant and dont have the low coolant message. Thank you.

That is for the transmission. I would not see how taking it to the carwash would cause this. You should take it to have it diagnosed. There are three possibilites. The solenoid, the conductor plate or the tcu. I guess there is some chance it could be wiring. It also might just need to be reset.

Hi. Thank you for your responce. I can't see the car wash having anything to do with it either, its just that was the last event before this started happening. After trying to get it out of Limp Mode i noticed that the Program Mode Selector Switch will not let me change selections, is this due in part to the faulty Pressue Control Solenoid. Is their a reset process that I can preform, or does that have to be done by a technician. I just cant see why the car was find one minute then all of a sudden this started to happen without any signs or warnings. I must say this is the most complicated car i've ever owned. Once again thank you for your responce.
