That is ridiculous, I love it. FWIW I have a 103 manifold that I've shortened the runnrrs down to about 3 inches and built a new plenum on it. Havent done much with it lately as the bottleneck in my setup is the cold side compressor. Once the spring weather arrives and I can take the 4matic out of inclement weather stand by, I plan to pull my turbo off and massage it for a bit more airflow on the hot and cold side both. I may revisit the modded intake soon thereafter.

If you can supply a CAD drawing on a removable drive, most Water Jet shops would charge $40-50 ea. for a flange. Doesn't count materials but that's a quick trip to the scrap yard. Gets much pricier if they do the layout.
Should add, most you can just e-mail the file.

I doubt it would be 40-50 each. I have had things water jet cut before in volume and the prices do not get that low. At least where I live.
It is a fairly complicated piece to cut and the aluminum is a fairly thick plate. I think that it would be at least a 50.00 chunk of aluminum and the flange has to be cut for the intake runners, bolt holes, and the injectors at a different angle and the proper depth relief to get the injectors in the right spot and bolt down the fuel rail. Oh and a fuel rail if not using the stock one.
I am not saying you can not do it cheaper as I have but to do it right is expensive.

I will be fabbing a new intake for my OM606 build/swap. I will be utilizing the flange of the OEM intake at least. Thats the plan as of now, it may change by the time I get to that point. Right now the head is fresh from being pulled off the engine and is absolutely filthy. Probably be a couple few weeks before I get to it. No way i'm using the stock plenum!

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!

I didn't realize the M104 and my M110 were so different. My injectors plug directly into the head so it would be just a matter of duplicating the intake gasket, for the flange, and going from there. Friend who owns Triton Waterjet here in Napa supplied the estimate. I enjoy doing CAD layout though Mark has invested in a Faro scan arm and can scan a pieces file directly into the Jet or a 3D printer for casting molds, takes less than 10 minutes, incredible. As far as metal, I bought a bunch of aluminum, battery, buss bar from an old Telco office from my local scrapper. Scrap price was .70 per pound so the 13lb piece in the photo was $9.00. Should reiterate, the estimate I got did not include setup or materials. Once the file is saved though, there is no setup fee for future pieces.

unfortunately for me, the m104 uses a plastic manifold.. so I cant just use the flange lol. If it was any other other motors.. I'd be thrilled.

The key is the type of injection. Early 104's in the W140 were LH injected like the early efi 119. Later in the life of the W140 (1994), the switched to similar injection as the W124/W202 with the plastic mani
