Custom Rear End help
I want to swap out my rear differential and axles out of my 190E with some limited slip differentials that can handle lots of extra HP. In the future i will be adding lots of power to my 190E and i know i will just blow the rear end off the car if i don't do somethign about it. I know Tobias put a corvette rear differential on his 190E and that would be perfect for me. If anyone has any info on these kind of modifications or could offer me any kind of help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou!

I know a guy who took a 2.65 : 1 & a 2.92 : 1 rear out of a vintage Benz. Basically he stripped out the pumpkin of his 16-vlv and jammed the gear, etc.... into the body of it. Of course it is a dog off the line, but who cares when you have 300+ hp.

I working on same kind of deal just now, I have 300e 86, differential game from 1989 Ford Thunderbird just little bit bigger than original. I have to make custom cv joint shafts, and drive shaft, I use Ford Differential because is easier to find and lot of different gear ratios, cheaper too, I don't have pictures yet, I can make 190 series too is same kind deal if you need help. Check my homepage there is some pictures what I doing right now
