16v turbo project + info
Sorry guys, but I can't find the old thread that we were discussing this stuff on.
Anyways, I have Priest's turbo 16v nearly done. Hopefully it will be ready for him by tomorrow evening. I have become "swamped" lately with other work ,and had to put his project on hold for a week or two. He has also been showing up with more and more toys for me to install, which took a little extra time. The plan is to deliver the car to him tomorrow so he can take it to a big show in Kansas City this week end. I should have alot of really cool pics by Monday , that I'll send to Jim Villers and kindly ask him to post on his site for me. The engine compartment in the car is really cool, and it feels really strong. Priest told me he'd make an appointment with the local dynojet guys as soon as we can coordinate our schedules. For those of you who wanted prices on the Mosselman kit for a 16v. They are currently 4800. list price....... .....I have some ideas for making a "discount" , but need to talk to Mosselman first before I can discuss those plans further. Thank you for your patience. on a side note,,,,,,, I finally finished making the rear arms for my Delsing 3 piece sway bars and tried them on my racecar. The sway bars made it a whole different car !!!! Heck, it took me a whole 20 minute session just to re-learn how to drive the thing! I now have no- I mean absolutely ZERO understeer!!! The car is soooo much more stable and easy to drive in the slow-tight corners it is unbelievable! I did lose some high speed corner "comfort" as the rear end is now easier to break loose. (actually- I think it's time for some new rubber) the rear might just be a hair too firm. You do need to be really quick to catch it if it starts co come around now. (I found this out as I spun at turn 11 at HPT in the middle of my race.) Felt pretty dumb, as I haven't spun out in a long time. To sum it up- WOW! No more push that eventually overheats the front tires, but I need to "fine tune" it to optimize the set up. Big thanks to Delsing Motorsports! I should have put these on a long time ago. so many projects, so little time....Alain V. ![]() |
