C230 Kompressor Specs
I need to know as much as possible about the C230 Kompressor.
Did they ever come in manual transmission? What kind of Kompressor / supercharger do they use: positive displacement or centrifugal? What years had what compression ratios? Did different states have different compression ratios, aka for California's smog requirements? What are the horsepower / torque ratings? Please send me in the right direction

Hi:
I have some of this info on a disc here at home, the MB website should have this info also if you know where to look: The 5 speed manual is listed as standard, although what I have is for the world market, for US specific info I'd check the MBUSA website. The compression ratio is 8.8:1 on all versions. Horsepower is rated at 193hp@5300rpm, 280nm torque@2500 to 4800 rpm. Gilly ps This is a Roots-type positive displacement supercharger, belt driven.

Here is a link to the Mercedes website that shows some of the info you were asking about. I noticed they only list the automatic transmission, in my world-wide info they list the manual transmission as standard, but again this may not be the case for the US market. Gilly

The five speed manual was never available in the US w/ the W202 C-Class. Also in US spec trim the 99-00 C230 Kompressor put out 185 hp @ 5300 rpm and 200 lb-ft of torque @ 2500-4800 rpm.
