300E Valve Job

Hi,

Head gasket blew on Thursday.

Confirmed it this am by pulling plugs. One was wet.

Anyway, I have a quote for $2K to do a valve job, etc. on the head since it's going to be out.

I thought there might be a few things the machine shop can do to make the car a little more lively.

It's a 1990 300E with 135K miles. Bottom end is strong with no oil consumption. Using Castrol GTX and changed often and hot.

Any ideas for the machine shop?
