Timing Chain R&R parts list

I'm planning on purchasing the parts required for a timing chain R&R either to replace or have as a spare as 119 spares are impossible to get in my neck of the woods.

Would any of you have a complete list of parts and part numbers to help me in getting everything I need? Please include any other parts that I might as well replace while the motor's wide open anyway. I came across a posting which mentioned oil tubes, for example...

Many thanks!

Hey Ricky

I have the exact list you need...as I have already laid the plans down for the same R&R and got the parts in hand....but the list/bill from the dealer is at home....I can send it to you later tonite if you can wait that long....or just post it here would be better I suppose.

Under $500 at wholesale MB prices...all guides, rails, misc parts too. No oil tubes though...what makes you believe you may need to replace them? Or are you just wanting to be super thorough? I know they are a very inexpensive little tings regardless. Anyway...I post T-chain part numbers later on....if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Here you go man...if you have a fax number I'll send the EPC diagram showing all the parts and where they go...if you'd like.

1 Chain 002-997-84-94
1 Chain Tightener 119-050-17-11
2 Sliding Rails 119-052-11-16
1 Sliding Rail 119-052-13-16
1 Sliding Rail 119-052-12-16
1 Sliding Rail 119-050-02-16
2 Slide Rails 119-052-09-16
1 Gasket set 119-010-13-30
1 Gasket set 119-010-14-30

You may want to post this in Tech too...as there may be parts not associated with the chain that the experts suggest should be addresssed as well while you are in there.

Thanks, Jim! Appreciate it...

Re the oil tubes, I did a search hoping to find a shopping list and came across several posts that mentioned doing the oil tubes while one were at it.

Fax number is (212) 829 0827. I'm arriving in New York late Sunday and will be there for 8 months at least. I figure it might be a good time to have everything I'm planning to replace done while the car is just sitting back home...

Thanks again...

Dont need to do the oil tubes. On 500E/E500 oil tubes are metal. All other 119 motors are plastic. The metal ones are quite pricey.

You are very welcome Ricky...might you drive the couple of hours into CT sometime during your stay and visit us and pick up your needed parts through our local connections?....if you'd like to save a few bucks.

Thanks to Helmut too...that's a great piece of info to know regarding the 500E500.

Thanks Jim! Mighty generous of ya!

I already gave Phil (fastlane/partsshop) first dibs...so let's see how he does.

A beer or two or ten doesn't sound bad though....

Really, that's the first I have heard of this little tidbit of info. I would like some further clarification on this if anyone can provide this? It's unusual to have to scratch something OFF the list of "Things to do".

Rain,

I would maybe R&R the P/S pump, Airpump, and replace the motor mounts if component conditions warrant.
