B&M transmission/shifter upgrades for Mercedes

A friend of mine who works for B&M Racing mentioned to me that they are considering developing products for our cars. For those of you unfamiliar with B&M, they are an industry leader in transmission and shifter upgrades for sport and racing applications. I told him that there were indeed many Mercedes owners looking for reasonably priced, effective performance upgrades for their cars. I'm posting this as a feeler, to see if I can demonstrate the level of interest that exists. Who among you would consider purchasing these upgrades? I know I'll be first in line if B&M releases anything for my E500, but even owners of less performance-oriented models could benefit from potential B&M products. Please speak up with your opinions.

sounds interesting, but what would a shift kit be able to do to a benz? unless it allows for adjustment of the bowden from inside the car while driving, I can't see how they could make something that would be beneficial unless thats what it is.

Maybe for electronic trannies they could do some sort of thing, but for the vaccuum modulated ones, not sure.

But I'm interested to find out how or what they would be doing to it.

Yeah, just imagine a big T-handled B&M slap-shifter sitting on a wood console in our MBs!

I am using the B&M "TRICK SHIFT" in my 190e 8v Automatic and it made the shifting a bit harder but the car feels to pull harder. I will find out soon how the performance level is when the Turbo goes in.

I would like to compare the Costs. I know B& M makes great racing products. Used in my old muscle
cars.

Thanks

I would be interested. I am not a great fan of Merc shifting. They tend to shift too early on light and full throttle application without enough firness. Was easy to adjust on the old systems but my 97, I think is intergrated with the engine controls.
