M103 Turbo Thread Revisited
After much research, I reckon the easiest way to squeeze horsepower from the M103 engine is to install a Turbo. The Mosselman kit is out due to high costs so I'm going the custom way.
I am looking to improve low-end/off-the-line response and plan to boost no more than 6psi safely. Probably use a small turbo for quick spool up. Some questions for the gurus: 1. Would I need install an intercooler? Temp around here hovers between 90F to 110F year round. 2. Since I plan to run no more than 6psi, would the stock engine management system be able to cope? Perhaps some way to increase fueling on the CIS-E system? Need some expertise here. Have a nice weekend. Thank you. |

We may have an answer for you soon! We are in the process of purchasing a '90 190e 2.6 M103 for developing a Twin Turbo kit.
So far we have determined the cost to be under $3500. We will also be doing a 89 300e at the same time. Right now this project is set for May/June 03. To answer your questions: 1. for 6psi an intercooler is not really needed. It would be nice. 2. We will be making some plug-in mods to the CIS-E. We have run this set up before and it has handled 6 psi. ***If you can provide the turbos you can get a kit from us for under $1500. This would be manifolds (exchanged), Oil lines, CIS Airbox Adapter, Pipes, downpipe, Intake pipe/air filter & CIS-E plug-in black box.

Hmm, I could be interested in this as well, assuming I can not come up with anything for the 2jz motor swap.
Probably do the install myself, what type of turbos would you recommend? |

I am interested
Speedtek,
I am interested in the M103 Twin Turbo Kit that you mentioned. Can you let me know once the kit is ready? |
