will 35 offset fit my 500E?

I am looking at some 18x10 and 10x8.5 for my 500E. They came off a 1999 500Sl and the guys says the offset is 35, i need to know if they will fit and if so will they be lined up with the fenders or will they be tucked in some?
thanks in advance.

If they fit on an R129 SL, they'll fit on a 500E. That said, my 17" X 8.5" AMG wheels are ET 30. Did you see them on the SL?

I have 18x10 and 18x8.5 AMG sl 2pc wheels on my car. The offset is 25mm on both the front and the rear. The rears are lined up with the quarter panel lip but the fronts are in at least 2". A 35mm offset will suck the wheels in another 10mm. In my opinion a 15mm offset or less in the front would bring the wheels flush with the fender lip. good luck

No Michael I have not seen them on the SL, do you have any pics?I would love to see your car I think that red is an awesome color for the 500E. According to E MOTION your wheels would be sitting way too deep in the fender. Thanks for the help.

Does the offset have anything to do with the width of the wheel? if so a wheel with a 35mm offset would be more flush with the fenders than a 8.5 wide wheel right? Here is the picture of the wheels I want. what do you all think? they are 18x10 rear and 18x8.5 front

ooooooops

I meant to say that the 35mm offset of a 10" wide wheel would be more flush to the fender than a 35mm offset of a 8.5" wheel.

man those look sweet. If they dont fit, just roll your fenders or flare them out more =)) They should, however, fit because if they came off a R129 sl, like said earlier, they will fit the 500E because the suspension is pretty much the same, and mercedes wanted SL wheels to fit on the car, so they made the fenders wider. Thats why 500Es have wider fenders.
