Well I know this question kind of does not belong amongst the 500E posts and RennTech questions but I wanted to know if the 126 300SD enjoys a performance advantage over the W116 300SD? They both have the same great engine making the same amount of horsepower and torque. According to the February 1980 edition of Road & Track the W126 has a drag coefficient of .36 as opposed to .41 for the W116, and the W126's are between 400 and 600 lb. lighter the the equivalent W116 model. So does this add up to a superior top speed (110mph for w116) and acceleration?
