Question Compression ratio of an engine (Turbo)

I know that the lower compression ratio you have, the better it is to install a turbocharger... However, what is the problem if my engine has a high compression ratio?

My Evo II engine has a compression ratio of 10.5:1. What is the problem if I add a turbo to my engine? Will it be less reliable?

Thanks in advance for your response...

P.S: I know a guy who has installed a Mosselman turbo on a EVOII, so I know it will work, but I am concerned about what problem a high compression ratio engine has when teamed with a turbo...
