I drove there last spring break, stoped once for fuel in San Antonio, took 38 hours of constant driving. But that was at the speedlimit, so scott, maybe 24 hours????

The area is very nice. You could make a vacation out of your stay. We have snow white sand, emerald green water with great visibility, and lots of very sunny days. The local talent is pretty damn good too.

Why don't we see if there are 5 people really up for this, then we can track down a suitable guinea pig.
I'm in.

The header guy also made my supercharger kit for my CIS-E 560 SEC. He could probably fab one for the E500 too. If you have CIS-E E500, you would need to run a centrifugal supercharger. I do not think a positive displacement supercharger would work properly with CIS injection.

You could go with a positive displacement blower. I would imagine a system like HPS makes would be easy to addapt. Some of the "stuff" in the right front side of the engine bay would have to be relocated to fit a supercharger and plumbing. Other than that, make a bracket, plumbing, blow-off valve and tie into the existing serpantine belt and drive away. You may need larger injectors too.
The 5.0L Porsche 928 S4 with a centrifugal supercharger, air to water intercooler, and 15 psi of boost makes around 580 to 600 RWHP on a dynojet or around 700+ crank hp. I would imagine the E500 could come close to those numbers. |

![]() That sounds very appealing. I don't know if I would be willing to go with just a header upgrade for the cost, but a SC might be to irresistable. BTW, what C/R is the 928 engine? |

question
How, exactly, would the (coated, non-stainless) M119 headers in question differ from Infini's (Japan) offering?

I have never seen the Renntech headers for the 500E. With that in mind, he would make them in the best possible design for the space. If you want something done, y'all better put together an action plan to get this going. I will assist in any way I can but he will need a car to have in his shop for a while so he can dry fit the headers so they all fit perfectly.

They look really nice. Jet hot was done in Tempe, AZ right?
I hope that maybe other kits could be made for those that have the same car as you. Like your guy has a template still.
