It was back in '71, just about to get out of the service.
In Den Dolder, Holland, outside the gate sat a 300SL.
The roadster version of the gullwing. It was in fair shape
but backfired something fierce. The old guy wanted $3500US
for it. Ended up buying a Mini instead. Jeez...
