KLEEMANN Modifications have arrived!

KLEEMANN mods are here!!!!

Woot woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

II just received my KLEEMANN ring type pulley and the KLEEMANN Lightwieght Flywheel, High Performance clutch assembly.

The Flywheel assembly is a single piece flywheel that wieghs +22 lbs. less then the stock unit, and the clutch is comprised of a modified 6-puck S4 unit.

For about the past 2 months I have been racing my Sport Coupe on a regular basis. Do to classing restrictions in the SCCA classification guidelines for 2003, forced induction motors are not allowed in STS, and STX limits forced induction motors to 2.0 L. This puts me up against so very serious competition making it difficult to continue to compete with just my suspension mods.

Through a unique relationship with KLEEMANN USA, Brandon and I have established a sponsorship of sorts, to help enable my coupe and myself to continue to be competitive. I am being classed in SCCA ESP with Corvettes, factory motor sport Camaros, and Roush Mustangs, so I need all the help I can get, and I cannot thank Brandon and KLEEMANN USA enough for coming through for me and demostrating KLEEMANN's dedication to MB enthusiasts and MB motorsports.

Due to this relationship with KLEEMANN, many more high performance modifications and race oriented enhancements will be finding their way to my coupe and to the track. The future will definately include a revised ECU, and there may be the possibility of the combination of a FP regulator and a supercharger upgrade.

The parts are, installation pictures to come next week!!! I will also post pics and detailed write-ups and DYNOs!

If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them for you.

You should be classed in STX. Though the nomenclature is C230, the displacement is actually 1.8 liters. Thus, you come in very much under that bar and even can bore the engine out should you care to.

Hmm this may be true nukblazi if you have the later C230K.. but I think it was you that was debating which to buy and went for the 2.3K, am I right?

I'd be interested to know how the modifications change the car and how you get on against the other cars

Your car is rolling over too far to generate good grip. Look at the camber angles of that photo. All the weight is transfered to the outside edge of the tire.

You need some stiffer springs and roll bars.

You could also install some longer stiffer bump rubbers on your shocks to increase roll stiffness.

Hey guys...

Sorry I forgot to stop back here. No one responded for a while.

I have the 2.3. I autocrossed in Street Modified this weekend. Jeff, I responded to your post on the other site. But I do have H&R sport springs and Eibach sways now, that pic was stock.

I installed the Flywheel/Clutch/Pressure plate mod and recoop'd 6 HP and 10 ft/lbs. at the wheels. Beyond that it is a race clutch with high tension springs in the pressure plate. The feel is awesome and I was getting equal times on Sat. to people that were usually 1.5 - 2 seconds faster then me at other events. I was able to accelerate out of the corners so much faster. Launches are insane now.

When I pulled the stock unit you could clearly see serious burn marks on the friction plates. This KLEEMANN unit will be able to handle the output of the Lysholm conversion easily.

I was going to install the ring type pulley, but Brandon is mailing me a Alloy pulley tomorrow to install instead.

Brandon is going to try to get me the Lysholm prototype by early Oct.
