Just remember, more air, more dirt, and more engine wear. 5 to 7 hp would never be noticed. So, why wear out your car sooner rather than later?

Flash Gordon: Hey, when a Ferrari or
Vipper wear out it usually is at about 40K to 50K miles. You will never see one with 100k miles on it. Oh, of course they go like hell, but you pay a bundle to keep them "going". Came back from the middle east recently and was amazed at what the Army does to keep things from getting a lot of "grit". Its your call. Nobody cares what or how the air goes into your car. Carl Kiekaefer (who I once worked for) helped invent the paper type air intake filter to run his Chrysler 300's in the Pan American races in the fifties. He was "rule changed" out after winning 5 times. He went back to fast boats after this of course. |
