Here is the dyno sheet of the C55

Here is a peek at a dyno sheet from the C55....

Notice how many runs I made to get this sooooo smooth.

I've seen some sheets like this for a CL55, but on a C-class?

Great numbers...I might have to come by to see it in person.

Why is there a valley at 5200?

Omega,

That is where the HP ant TQ curves intersect. That dyno graph is so straight I'd say it was soothed.

No smoothing.

We burned chips over and over using the wideband and dyno to get it that smooth.

When you drive the car, it feels like that!!

Donnie, can you describe the power curve by telling how you feel when you are driving it?

I assume its an instant jerk, then again it jerks (pulls harder) at 5200 again right? Im just curious why it drops then comes back up.

All you need now is a 150 shot of NOS!

Great work Donnie! makes me wonder what your 190 is realling pulling down the track with a shorter gear ratio and lighter car?

Next, It would be nice to see one of those twin turbo V-12s with big intercoolers and more boost.

O.K., I don't think you read my post. The dip is where the hp and tq curves intersect. There would be no jerking. Every car does this on a dyno. It is how they measure horsepower.

The torque curve goes up and then consistently down,
The HP curve continues to go up.
You are switching to the wrong curve at the intersect . . .

Any updates?

Hi Donnie,

Are you going to post a full profile on the C55 in MB Autoworks?

Hate to ask an uninformed question, excuse me in advance. The specs mentioned with the test vehicle; is this stock? If not stock, what is the factory horsepower and torque rating? I've observed C55 run 1/4 mile runs. They are capable of 13.5s. If I had the C55 weight I could give a very close"usable" rear wheel horse rating. If I had the 0 to 60 foot time and the 0 to 60 miles per hour time, I could estimate it's real torque. Has this C55 been tested at a drag strip?
