Hi all (and most-likely Lee),

I've searched through the site for SportLine info and have not come across a direct answer yet, so I'm hoping you can help.

1993 190 2.6
Mich XGT 205/60/15 36f/34r
OEM suspension (new rear struts at 55k miles)
66k miles

FUN.

I'm not of the mind or wallet yet to have the SportLine kit installed on the car (though the MercedesShop kit looks perfect - no extra B.S.). However, I would like crisper handling and I've seen some allusion on the site to the idea of aligning OEM suspension to SportLine specifications.

My question: do you perform the alignment to OEM suspension setup or is it for SportLine / modified suspension setup only?

If having the dealer do this for my car, what would I expect regarding performance, tire wear, etc? I would think that toe-in and camber changes would wear on the unmodified setup excessively (bearings, tires, etc)?

Appreciate the education,
Matt

This is a good question! The reason specs are different for sportline is spring delfection & height. With stiffer springs the car won't allow the car to "roll" as much & the shocks will dampen the movement.
This is the reason that alignment specs are different. Of course the biggest difference is the camber adjustment. Unless you plan to Autocross car w/stock susp then leave the alignment alone.

Thanks Doc - it's not a bad setup to begin with...
