Oil Pressure 280sl 1984
I chenged the oil on my 280SL W107 (1984); I used 10W-40 shell oil;
It's normal that the oil pressure check are on "2 1/4" when the motor turn but the car is stop?tank you for help and sorry for my bad english (I'm italien) If you want you can give me a answer in italien or french |

If your oil gauge is marked 1, 2, 3, these marks are in "Bar" of pressure, with 3 bar being the maximum possible. With the engine running but the car stopped your oil pressure of 2 1/4 bar seems to be very good. If the gauge rises from 2 1/4 to 3 when you drive then you are OK.
And, your english is just fine, it is much better than my italian. 230/8 |
