1977 450sl blinking brake light and running hot
Help needed!!While running on highway, brake warning light keeps blinking on and off, temp guage climbs to above 200F (between 200 and 250F) checked master cylinder, plenty of brake fluid, no leaks, took off wheel, no drags, slight pull to left front wheel, checked wiring to master cylinder, etc. no results. When car is standing still and idling, temp drops back to 200F. Gets hoter when running! viscous fan seems OK, any suggestions appreciated. regards to all, Abe G

To help others heres the solution to my problem: Brake fluid was 1/8 inch low in reservior!! Enough on tilted road surface to cause light to go on and off!! Hot running, replaed thermostat, cured this problem. Because I didnt have the answers, much moolah required to solve. Thanks anyway, hope this helps others. Abe G
