Try the top! The sound you heard from the trunk was probably the vacuum/air supply pump.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU  Tried the top and worked PERFECTLY. Wonder what the dealership would have charged for that. I guess just resetting the error codes was all it needed. I'm trying to think if it was something I did when I first received the car and it is possible that the tow company that flat decked the car to my door caused an error when he boosted it to get it started. I read somewhere that this is not a good thing to do. Hope my now solved problem can help out someone else in the future.  Marv
