Pulled trigger on SL500

Im on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 95 SL500. Its very nice, pretty much what I would expect,

112K miles, $17.

Federal tires? Im not familiar with those, but they look expensive from the tread design.

I have two days to decide.

It has a few minor problems, drivers side window makes a loud noise when it bottoms out, it MAY shake a little at around 60, I need to test it on a smooth road, concrete freeways are hard to test on.

I think the brake light was flickering...

My other choice is to get a 96 Lexus LXsomething or other SUV.

Anyone know the offset on factory rims on these? For me, the rims suck. IF I buy it, Im gonna switch them out. If anyone is interested in them, pics can be found at www.autotrader.com . You would need to type in 95 mercedes sl500 price range of 16000-18000 and a BLUE SL500 from UNIVERSAL auto will be on the list. You can locate pics from there if you want to see the wheels and if interested, PM me.

Anyone know if the following rims will fit my car?:
>>>>5 Enkei Aegis chrome wheels for Mercedes Benz CLK. I believe these wheels will also fit "C" class cars but would have to investigate if there is interest. Two of the wheels are 18" x 8.5" and three are 18" x 8". All except one are in excellent condition, and none were ever run in the winter. One of the 8.5" rims as some curb damage. There is a local rim shop that can polish this rim and make it look like new for $125. I would be happy to take care of this for the buyer for just the cost of the repair. These rims are "J" lip style with 44mm offset. Wheel nuts are not included. All center caps are installed. These rims were originally nearly $900 each when new. You can now find them for around $450 each. Absolutely spectacular on any Mercedes. Additional photos upon request. <<<<

THE car they are on looks to me like about a 93-98 model.

I also have floor mats, dark blue, they have 350SE embedded on them. They are very nice. Also a brand new battery out of an 84 380SL, and a 380 engine out of an 85 SE. It has a bad rod bearing...accepting offers, well, actually, I accept offers on anything...cept kids and wife. (hmmm, kids???, well.....hahah)

The offsett on an SL (129) is 34MM. The wheels from a CLK will not work on the SL. Also the new SL wheels will work on the 129 chassis too.
Please use MB wheels on your SL. There are some really nice AMG wheels out there that will fit, using adapters or spacers can cause your car to handle inproperly and damage your suspension by changing the offsett. MB wheels sit on the center hub, that is what holds the weight, the lugs just hold the wheel to the hub. If this configuration is changed it can be dangerous, also lug nuts that are the inproper length can damage your brakes.
I know that when I bought my SL 2 years ago, the prior owner had taken pretty good care of it, but it cost thousands and lots of hours to get it in shape and it still needs some things I have put off for awhile. I love my 129 so much, it is now become a trouble free daily driver, but I am glad I got a 96 rather than prior years, the interior is newer, you don't have the wiring harness issue, and the hard top/soft top controls are updated and less problematic. I wanted a 500, but I got an SL320 because it was so much easier for me to work on. I think the 320's will be better in the long run since the engine is more economical and the parts are cheaper for the 104. The 500 is still a great car though.

Can you elaborate a bit on the wheels please. Why the wheels from a CLK will not work?
