1990 SL 300 - Trigger box

Hi all,

My 300SL is misbehaving and keep on stalling on and off and my mechanic now narrow it down to the trigger box. The part number is 007 545 87 32. However the chip is E20044. The part number is similar to any 300E 124 or 126 model using M103 engine but the chip actually does make a different to the way the engine runs.

Anyone know where to get replacement for this? Or is there other solution to this problem?

Any form of assistance is highly appreciated as I would like to put this baby back on the road.

My mechanic called it trigger box but this is also known as ignition control module.

Are you sure about that chip number?

Who's the Manufacturer?

Is it an IC or module?

If it's programmable then forget it as it's probably calibrated to your car - although there might be some kind or recal you can make.
