are usa headlight lens plastic or glass?

i want to try to cut off the three bumps on them that are around the wiper washers but only if plastic. a parts seller says he has new ones but they are glass

If you 'd post the car info, someone might be more inclined to provide a proper answer. Mine are plastic, but my car is 25 years old. Yours may be glass. Who knows.

1990 129 usa version.
when i tap on them they sound plastic, but an internet seller who sells new ones refers to them as glass

i was going to try to cut of the 3 nubs off of them if plastic

I have a 94 SL500... and they are definitely glass. Why do you want to cut them off?
